![]() And that's 70 tiles that could be used for more supply/goods production buildings, cultural buildings, with plenty of decorations sprinkled in. I mean it's the big beautiful whale of a GB. So from that perspective I can see why traz would be an issue. This way you have extra troops just in case. The building in this event that's 2x2 and give you a couple of units a day. I'd suggest getting a fully upgraded bathhouse from the Egyptian cultural settlement and maybe a couple of few of these knights.whatever they're called. So that may be inconvenient but other than that you can play as you choose and have fun doing it. Sure you'll likely get plundered and sniped senseless but I call those "hood taxes" and in my hood everyone has to pay. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say most players are that way and that's fine. Then you won't have any pressure but on you to do GBG finish GE etc. Somewhere where players don't have expectations of you, preferably with cool people in it. Find yourself a nice auto join guild look for a name like "just having fun"," Play at your own pace", "No rules", or whatever. You sound like a very casual player and if that's how you enjoy playing then keep doing you player. ![]() So having a large & strong military is super important.□. But make no mistake about it, at the end of the day, FoE is a game of war. I'm well aware that everyone plays their games differently and that's fine. There are only 3 true game changers Arc, CF, and Traz. They are also by no coincidence the most important and powerful GBs in the game. These are GBs that allow you to play the game in a manner simply not possible without them. fps,A/D,etc("Efficiently " is the operative word here), Finally there are Game Changers. Good GBs are GBs that efficiently give you more of something you need i.e. I put all GBs into 3 categories Bad,Good, and Game Changers. The Bad GBs should be self explanatory (colosseum,ND,etc, etc, etc there are many). It's just a shame that it destroyed the niche fight culture that FoE used to have. Like I said it's not the new players fault. These days any player can quickly get high A/D and with that and enough free time they can tap autobattle all day and look like a badass. You fought because its who you were and how you roll. A/D was low and city defenses were high so you had to actually know how to fight. When two or more real fighters ended up in the same hood all out wars would go down in hoods to see who was top dog. Breaking 1000 battles in a week was seriously respectable. The real fighters with legitimately high numbers stood out. It was a badge of honor because they were earned and took a long time to acquire a significant amount and everyone would talk crap to anyone who was caught farming battles in GvG just ro pad their numbers. ![]() Before that battle numbers used to mean something. I get it I've done it too so I'm not knocking you but innogames killed what it meant to be a fighter with the way they did GBG. That's talking advantage of being in a strong guild who swaps sectors. If I build Traz and get it to a moderate level, what am I supposed to be doing with the hundreds of units I will soon have? I do not plunder unless I have a quest to do so, since it is a lot of work for what seems like minimal rewards. After that, the units I am attacking would have higher A/D bonuses than I do, so I am likely to be losing even if I am fighting manually. At that point, I could probably play another 5-10 fights if I had enough units to not worry about winning the fight while losing 3-4 units. My attack/defense bonuses are in the 200-300 range, so I can get to an attrition of about 20-30 in GbG before I start losing units. I would not even notice another 300 units in the list of units. However, once I have been in an age for a week or two, I have accumulated enough units from other sources (GE, GbG, timeless dojo, royal bathhouse, emissaries) that I never run out of healthy units. I can see that being useful the first few days after I enter a new age. With a level 30 Traz, I would be getting 28 units a day. Traz is 10x7, so it is huge, and it requires another barracks to produce something. I have something like 5x the happiness that I need for an enthusiastic population, so that is effectively worthless. I am having trouble understanding why people think that Alcatraz is so great.
